UFC 235 will feature two Chinese fighters. Song Yadong has been added to the March 2nd (local time) event at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas with the Chinese bantamweight set to take on Alejandro Perez.

The event also features Chinese strawweight Weili Zhang as well as the rescheduled UFC debut of Ben Askren. Yadong (14-4-0-1) will be looking to secure his fourth straight UFC win when he takes on #12 ranked bantamweight Perez (21-6-0-1).

Yadong is coming off a decision win at UFC Beijing. Already a veteran of 19 fights, the 21 year old reportedly used a fake ID card in order to persuade a promotion to let him he make his pro debut in 2013.

This will be an opportunity for both Zhang and Yadong to make a name for themselves fighting in the traditional MMA mecca of Las Vegas. The UFC has held two shows on the Chinese mainland and recently announced it would be opening a state of the art performance centre in Shanghai.

Meanwhile former ONE Championship welterweight king Askren will finally get to fight for the UFC. His bout with Robbie Lawler was rearranged following the cancellation of the UFC 233 card.

In the main event Askren’s team mate and friend Tyron Woodley (19-3-1) defends his UFC welterweight title against Kamaru Usman (14-1).
