Another Chinese fighter has been added to the UFC Fight Night Shenzhen card. Kenan Song is booked to face Derrick Krantz in a welterweight bout on August 31st.
Song (14-5) is coming off a decision loss at UFC Fight Night Beijing. The 29 year old won his first two fights for the promotion with both those victories coming inside the distance.
Facing him in Shenzhen will be the experienced Krantz (24-11). He was stopped on his UFC debut earlier this year and will be fighting outside of the U.S. for the first time in his career.
The card will also feature Da Un Jung. The Korean light heavyweight makes his promotional debut against Russia’s Saparbeg Safarov (9-2).
As previously announced Weili Zhang faces reigning strawwweight champion Jessica Andrade in Shenzhen on August 31st. She will become the first Chinese fighter to ever challenge for a UFC belt.
Meanwhile Korean middleweight Jun Yong Park, Chinese welterweight Li Jingliang, Chinese flyweight Wu Yanan and Asian MMA veteran Kai Kara France will all be involved.
This will be the promotion’s third event on mainland Chinese after cards in Shanghai and Beijing.
