Since the start of the pandemic ONE Championship cards have become synonymous with judging controversy. There was more of it last night with Supergirl Jaroonsakgym‘s decision win over Ekaterina Vandaryeva causing an uproar.
Asian MMA’s James Goyder didn’t like the decision:
Supergirl absolutely did not deserve to win that fight.

And he wasn’t the only one, after the fight Vandaryeva was awarded a $50,000 USD bonus. She had Supergirl rocked in the second round and the Thai fighter seemed on the verge of quitting.
Only one of the three judges felt that Vandaryeva had done enough to win the fight. Supergirl did get the better of the opening round while the third was not clear cut.
But having absolutely battered Supergirl in the middle round Vandaryeva understandably felt she had done enough to win. So did the crowd at the Singapore Indoor Stadium but only one of the three judges concurred.
Another person who felt that Vandaryeva should have won was Chatri Sityodtong. He explained why and declared that the promotion would start looking for better judges:
Chatri does not agree with the judges' decision ☹️ How did you score the fight between Supergirl and "Barbie?" @yodchatri #ONEHeavyHitters #WeAreONE #ONEChampionship pic.twitter.com/uWOfQo17MF
