Da Un Jung will return at UFC 254. The South Korean light heavyweight has been booked to face Sam Alvey at the event which is set for October 25th at an undisclosed location.
Jung (13-2) will have the opportunity to showcase his skills on one of the promotion’s biggest events of the year. He has won two fights out of two since signing for the UFC last year.
Jung had been booked to face Ed Herman but the bout was twice cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Instead he has been matched with another seasoned American opponent.
Alvey (33-14-0-1) is a veteran of 19 UFC fights. However the 34 year old is on a two fight losing skid and has not tasted victory in over two years.
UFC 254 will be headlined by a lightweight unification bout. Regular champion Khabib Nurmagomedov faces interim champion Justin Gaethje in what promises to be one of the biggest fights of the year.
