Hu Yaozong returns to the UFC after a three year absence on July 10th (local time). The Chinese light heavyweight has not fought for nearly three years and returns after serving a ten month USADA suspension.

At UFC 264 he will be looking to secure his first win inside the octagon at the third attempt. The 26 year old has been matched with Alen Amedovski in a middleweight fight at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Yaozong (3-2) was last seen dropping a decision to Rashad Coulter at UFC Beijing in 2018. His record inside the octagon stands at 0-2 but he remains on the roster.

Amedovski (8-2) hails from Macedonia and is also winless in his two UFC outings. He did enjoy success with Bellator, winning two fights out of two by first round stoppage.

UFC 264 looks set to be the biggest card of the year. In the main event Dustin Poirier (27-6) and Conor McGregor (22-5) fight for the third time in a lightweight non title five rounder.

The event sold out in minutes and there are expected to be 20,800 fans in attendance.
