Jarred Brooks has been handed a quick turnaround by ONE Championship. The American set to face Hiroba Minowa at ONE: ‘Only the Brave’ on January 28th.
Brooks (17-2-0-1) made a successful debut at ONE: ‘Winter Warriors’ earlier this month, beating Lito Adiwang. The American wanted a title shot but instead finds himself facing the #4 ranked contender at strawweight.
Minowa (13-2) is riding a six fight winning streak that includes decision wins over Lito Adiwang and Alex Silva. The winner of this fight will be in pole position for a shot at champion Joshua Pacio.
Kim Jae Woong is set to take on Tang Kai in a match that also has the makings of a title eliminator. The former is ranked #1 while the latter is #4 at featherweight.
Woong (12-4) is coming off the biggest win of his career. He knocked out Martin Nguyen in the opening round at ONE: ‘Revolution’ in September.
Kai (13-2) has won five fights out of five for ONE Championship and is on an eight fight winning streak. But this will be the first time that the Chinese fighter has been matched with a ranked opponent.
In the lightweight division Lipeng Zhang (31-11-2) takes on Ruslan Emilbek (13-2). At flyweight Tatsumitsu Wada (23-11-2) faces Shuo Wang (13-5).
