Another Korean fighter has been added to the UFC Fight Night 181 card on October 17th. Jun Young Park will face John Phillips in a middleweight match.
Park (11-4) is coming off a decision win over Marc-André Barriault at UFC Busan. He is 1-1 in the octagon, having previously been submitted by Anthony Hernandez at UFC Shenzhen.
Phillips (22-10) was in action last month. The Welshman was submitted by Anthony Hernandez in Abu Dhabi and has lost four fights out of five for the UFC.
As previously announced the card will be headlined by a featherweight fight between Chan Sung Jung and Brian Ortega. It is a bout that had originally been scheduled for UFC Busan last year.
The American withdrew with an injury and the Korean Zombie made short work of replacement opponent Frankie Edgar. Since then there has been a public falling out between the two featherweights.
Ortega (14-1) is currently #2 in the UFC featherweight rankings while Jung is #4, making this a potential title eliminator. The former is coming off an unsuccessful title shot in 2018 while the latter won two fights out of two last year.
