Korean Top Team staple Kim Doo-Hwan has been contracted to take on Russian prospect Andrei Lenzhen (9-2) in a light heavyweight contest for Annihilation 1.
The 30-year-old Kim (11-5) has cemented himself as one of the best light heavyweight fighters hailing out of South Korea. After making his professional debut for M1 Global in 2011, he went on to compete for major promotions like ACB, Cage Warriors, and Hex Fight Series over the years.
Although ‘Jongro Rhino’ started off 2018 with two decision losses to Rasul Saithozhaev (ACB 78) and Jimmy Crute (Hex FS 13), he closed out the year back at home with two solid wins under the TFC banner.
Lenzhen (9-2), however, is riding on a 5-fight win streak with four finishes on the European scene. The 28-year-old possesses a technical ground game that has allowed him to tap out almost 60% of the opponents he has bested.
Annihilation 1 will be headlined by a boxing match that pits KBF 154lbs champion Jung Kyoung Lee (6-2) against Australian Samuel Colomban Kaldjob (25-10-1) for the OPBF super welterweight title. The inaugural event will take place on January 19th in Seoul at KBS Arena.
There will be a total of ten bouts on the card, five MMA competitions and five boxing matches, at the collaboration event. The rest of the matchups will be revealed in the near future according to event organizers.
