Lara Fernandez is contemplating a change of career! The Spanish fighter is considering switching from Muay Thai to bikini competitions according to her latest Instagram post.
Fernandez, who might not be entirely serious, shared a photo which was taken prior to the ONE 164 weigh ins. She looks in incredible shape and suggests she might be looking to participate in a bikini competition next:

New competition
Bikini competitions are often put on by bodybuilding organizations, like the Spanish one which Fernandez tagged in her post, but participants are not expected to be as muscular as in other categories. Competitors are expected to have distinct muscular definition rather than big bulging muscles.
We think Fernandez would do just fine although it might not be quite as lucrative as fighting for ONE Championship. The Spanish atomweight is coming off a split decision win over Daokongfah Banchamek.
Prior to that Fernandez had come up short in an atomweight title shot against Janet Todd. She appeared to be ahead going into the final round but the American came back strongly to successfully defend her title.

Top ranked
There aren’t currently any atomweight Muay Thai rankings. But having narrowly come up short against the champion on her debut and then scoring a victory in her sophomore appearance Fernandez must be in the top five.
Anissa Meksen, who also holds a win over Daokongfah, is facing former champion Stamp Fairtex in a mixed rules bout next month. The French fighter would be one potential opponent for Fernandez.
So there are plenty of potential matchups out there for the Spanish fighter. Assuming she decides to put her bikini career on the backburner for the time being Fernandez should be very busy with Muay Thai commitments in the new year.
