ONE: ‘Century’ is set to be the promotion’s 100th numbered event and Chatri Sityodtong is pulling out all the stops. Three title fights are confirmed as well as three Grand Prix finals and four Pancrase vs. Shooto matchups:
Angela Lee (9-1) is competing at strawweight for the second fight in a row at ONE: ‘Masters of Destiny’. But afterwards the 22 year old will drop down a division to defend her atomweight title against Xiong Jing Nan (14-1).
That won’t be the only rematch of a title fight that took place at ONE: ‘A New Era’ on the card. Bibiano Fernandes (23-4) and Kevin Belingon (20-6) will do battle for the fourth time in Tokyo on October 13th.
The third title fight has already been well publicized. It sees Brandon Vera (16-7-0-1) drop down a division to challenge Aung La Nsang (25-10-0-1) for his light heavyweight title, the two men faced off in the ring at ONE ‘A New Era’.
As expected the card will also feature the finals of the Lightweight Grand Prix. Flyweight Grand Prix and Featherweight Kickboxing Grand Prix. There will also be four ‘Japan Super Fights’ which pit Pancrase champions against Shooto champions.
ONE: ‘Century’ will be the promotion’s second event in Tokyo. It also promises to be the biggest card put on since Chatri founded the organization with a show in Singapore way back in 2011.
