Maira Mazar has signed with ONE Championship. The Brazilian strawweight was one of six fighters selected to join the Evolve MMA fight team after a recent tryout.

Maiza holds a 6-2 record and her most recent loss came at the hands of Weili Zhang, who is currently #6 on the UFC’s 115lbs rankings and has won 19 fights in a row.

The reigning strawweight champion is Xiong Jing Nan who stopped Angela Lee in the fifth round at ONE: ‘A New Era’ earlier this year. Other contenders include Ayaka Miura and Tiffany Teo.
