Mark Striegl will make his UFC debut on August 22nd. The Fil-Am fighter has been booked to face Timur Valiev according to multiple reports.

Striegl (18-2) is the reigning URCC featherweight champion. But he will be dropping down to 135lbs for this fight in Las Vegas.

He has fought for numerous promotions in Asia, most notably ONE Championship. But Striegl also enjoyed success with PXC and Legend FC and holds a win over current UFC flyweight Kai Kara-France.

Valiev (16-2) has been on the PFL roster since before it was rebranded. He signs for the UFC on the back of a six fight winning streak dating all the way back to 2016.

Striegl has spent the vast majority of his career living and training in the Philippines. But he has returned to the US ahead of this fight which is set for the Apex Centre in Las Vegas.

The event is headlined by a bantamweight fight between Pedro Munhoz and Frankie Edgar. It will also feature Japanese flyweight Mizuki Inoue and Japanese welterweight Takashi Sato.
