A catchweight contest pitting Michael Page against Shinsho Anzai has been added to the Bellator Japan card. The fight was announced via the Rizin Twitter account today:

Page (16-1) has emerged as one of Bellator’s biggest stars. He has a reputation as being one of the foremost striking specialists in the sport but faces a tough test against a UFC veteran with a background in wrestling.

Anzai (11-3) was released by the UFC last year and is coming off a decision win over Yoichiro Sato at Deep 91. The former middleweight King of Pancrase will be looking to make it back to back wins in 2019 in this contest which is set for 173lbs.

As previously announced Bellator Japan is set for Saitama Super Arena on December 29th and will be headlined by a heavyweight fight between Fedor Emelianenko and Quinton Jackson, two fighters who made their name competing in the country during the Pride era.

Meanwhile Sidney Outlaw faces Michael Chandler in a catchweight contest. The latter replaces Benson Henderson who was forced to pull out with an injury.
