Miesha Tate has tested positive for Covid-19, according to Sherdog. Her fight with Ketlen Vieira at UFC Vegas 40 bout is off.

Tate was expected to continue her comeback trail on October 16th. She was booked to face the #7 ranked Brazilian in a bantamweight bout.

That fight is still on according to the report but it won’t be taking place at UFC Vegas 40. Tate will be taking on Vieira at a later date, probably in November.

Having made a successful comeback after five years away from the sport and the birth of two children we are confident Tate will overcome Covid-19. Hopefully this will prove to be just a minor bump on the road for ‘Cupcake’.
