UFC veteran, AKA Thailand owner and all round alpha male Mike Swick has been uncharacteristically quiet on social media recently. It turns out that the 42 year old was diagnosed with lymphoma and has been undergoing chemotherapy.

He announced last night that he had been diagnosed with cancer:

Swick, a veteran of 21 UFC fights, described it as the ‘toughest and most aggressive battle I have ever had’. There was a seven month delay in diagnosing the cancer with doctors initially telling him he was suffering an adverse reaction to a Covid-19 vaccine.

The prognosis for lymphoma patients is good and men don’t come much healthier than Mike Swick. He is constantly travelling the world and working out, sky diving, deep diving and generally engaging in extreme physical activities with his celebrity friends.

Swick will have to put all that on the backburner while he gets treated for cancer. But the American sounds extremely upbeat and says he will be getting a scan and will post another update in just over a week.

Get well soon Mike. You’ve got this!
