According to reports in Japan there will be a change to next week’s ONE: ‘Unbreakable’ card. Hexigetu is out and Lito Adiwang now finds himself facing Namiki Kawahara.
Kawahara (7-3-2-1) is the reigning Deep strawweight champion. He submitted Haruo Ochi in the second round at Deep 96 to claim the belt.
Adiwang (11-3) will be looking to bounce back from his first ever ONE Championship loss. The Filipino saw a seven fight winning streak snapped by Hiroshi Minowa at ONE: ‘Inside the Matrix’ Part III and faces another Japanese champion on Friday.
ONE: ‘Unbreakable’ is set for the Singapore Indoor Stadium on January 22nd. As previously announced Alaverdi Ramazanov will be defending his bantamweight belt against Captain Petchyindee.
Meanwhile Shinya Aoki will be fighting James Nakashima in a lightweight bout. The former is dropping down a division after an unsuccessful shot at welterweight champion Kiamrian Abbasov at ONE: ‘Inside the Matrix’ Part II in November.
Former welterweight champion Zebaztian Kadestam will also be back in action. He has been matched with Russia’s Murad Abdulaev who is making his promotional debut. Meng Bo will be looking to secure a spot in the promotion’s upcoming atomweight Grand Prix when she faces Samara Santos.
At present there are three events on the official 2021 schedule. ONE: ‘Unbreakable’ Part II and ONE: ‘Unbreakable’ Part III will be broadcast on January 29th and February 5th respectively.
A flyweight title fight between Adriano Moraes and Demetrious Johnson has also been confirmed for February 24th in Singapore.
