Nat Wondergirl is switching camp (again!). The Muay Thai, kickboxing and MMA star took to Instagram to confirm she would be leaving Marrok Force although it sounds like this time the departure is amicable.

Wondergirl had an acrimonious breakup with Fairtex earlier this year. She has been based at Marrok Force in Bangkok ever since but it sounds like her contract with that camp has come to an end.

She confirmed on Instagram that she would be departing for pastures new:

New direction

Wondergirl started out training at her family’s gym, Jaroonsak Muay Thai alongside her sister. While she can continue to use that as a base for her kickboxing and Muay Thai fights the 23 year old recently made her MMA debut.

While there are Muay Thai camps in just about every town in Thailand it is a little harder to find top quality MMA training. Wondergirl seems serious about pursuing a career in the sport and already holds a blue belt in BJJ.

But it seems Wondergirl no longer needs to fight for a living. She has a new sideline making money as a model:

Successful debut

Wondergirl made a successful MMA debut at ONE 157 earlier this year. Despite her impressive Muay Thai credentials the Thai was able to finish Zeba Bano with a submission in the opening round.

The strawweight division is in urgent need of new blood. Current champion Xiong Jing Nan is coming off two wins against opponents she had already faced on two previous occasions.

Tiffany Teo dropped down to atomweight in the aftermath of her defeat to Xiong. Meanwhile Angela Lee is almost certain to do the same thing as she remains the champion in that division.

So there is a real shortage of potential contenders. With a win under her belt Wondergirl will be looking to fill that void but she needs to find the right camp to take her game to the next level.

While she is extremely experienced in Muay Thai and has been training BJJ for several years the Thai star is a relative newcomer to the sport of MMA. It will be interesting to see which camp she ends up at.
