Noelle Grandjean does not currently have a fight booked but in the modern era athletes are very aware of the importance of training and recovery. The Thai atomweight is willing to endure a bit of extreme discomfort in order to expose her muscles to some ice cold temperatures.
Many saunas or sports related spas now offer this service. But why travel to another facility when you can just fill your own swimming pool with bags of ice?

Performance bonus
For those wondering about the science exposure to cold helps to heal the small tears in muscle fibers caused by intense exercise. Of course it helps that Noelle’s swimming pool isn’t exactly Olympic size, otherwise the cost of ice might be prohibitive.
The 26 year old could probably afford to take her pick of spas at Phuket’s upmarket hotels after earning a $50,000 USD performance bonus for her last fight. She stopped Lea Bivins at ONE on Prime Video 3 to extend her record to 4-0.
But it appears that the atomweight likes her home comforts. She trained for that fight at Tiger Muay Thai but appears to have relocated from Chalong to Rawai in order to teach at the newly opened Southside MMA.

Overnight success
While fight fans might not have heard of Noelle before her bonus winning victory over Bivins she has not been an overnight success. The undefeated atomweight holds a black belt in judo and has won numerous competitions and tournaments, representing several countries in the process.
She comes from a fighting family. Her Dutch father holds black belts in karate and judo and competed in Muay Thai as well as some unsanctioned MMA bouts.
She has lived in France and Holland and represented both countries. But Noelle is now based permanently in Thailand, which is where her mother comes from.
Seo Hee Ham looks to be next in line for a shot at Angela Lee’s atomweight title. But with a resounding win on her ONE Championship debut Noelle is already in the title mix and it will be interesting to see who she is matched with next.
