ONE on Prime Video 7 has a new location and a new date. Originally scheduled for Jakarta on February 7th, the event will now be taking place at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok on February 25th.

It will also be called ONE Fight Night 7 but will still be broadcast live in North America by Amazon Prime. As previously announced the rematch between Fabricio Andrade and John Lineker will headline the event.

The two men faced off at ONE on Prime Video 3 and the bout ended in a no contest after Andrade hit Lineker with a brutal looking knee to the groin in the third round. Lineker missed weight for that fight so the belt is currently vacant.

It is an unsatisfactory situation and one that looks set to be resolved in early 2023. Andrade (8-2-0-1) will feel he was on the verge of finishing Lineker (35-9-0-1) when the fight was stopped while the UFC veteran might be grateful to have had more time to prepare for an opponent who appears to have the better of him.

Former champion

Former featherweight and lightweight champion Martin Nguyen will be back in action in Bangkok. He last fought there in 2017, dropping a split decision to Bibiano Fernandes in an unsuccessful attempt at the promotion’s bantamweight belt.

The days when Nguyen (14-6) was looking to become the first man to hold three of the promotion’s titles concurrently are long gone. He has lost three of his last four fights and will be looking to get himself closer to the top five when he faces Shamil Gasanov.

Gasanov (13-0) is coming off a very impressive promotional debut. At ONE on Prime Video 3 he choked out Jae Woong Kim in the opening round and announced afterwards he wanted an opportunity to ‘rip Garry Tonon’s head off’.

He might feel that a shot at the former featherweight and lightweight champion is even better. The Australian is #4 while the Russian is #5 meaning that the winner could be close to a title shot while the loser will probably lose their spot in the rankings.

Undefeated Indonesian

The card was originally booked for Jakarta and undefeated Indonesian Linda Darrow (6-0) will be making her ONE Championship debut. She has been matched with Brazilian Victoria Souza (5-1) in an atomweight fight.

Darrow is the One Pride MMA strawweight champion. She was awarded a sponsorship deal by the UFC and spent time training at the Performance Institute in Las Vegas but has not fought since 2018.

Flying the flag for Thailand is featherweight Muay Thai champion Tawanchai PKSaenchaigym. He will be putting his title on the line against Jamal Yusupov in the co-main event.

Grappling match

AS previously announced Danielle Kelly will be back in action at ONE Fight Night 7. The grappling star will be taking on MMA veteran Ayaka Miura at Lumpinee Stadium.

The bout will be fought under submission grappling rules. Kelly already has two wins to her name for ONE Championship and is a BJJ black belt.

Miura comes from an MMA background and previously challenged for the promotion’s strawweight title. She dropped a decision to Xiong Jing Nang after spending five rounds trying and failing to get the champion to the ground.

Miura is a purple belt in BJJ but she does hold a third degree black belt in judo. All four of her ONE Championship wins have come by way of submission.
