ONE: ‘King of the Jungle’ to take place behind closed doors
ONE: ‘King of the Jungle’ is set for the Singapore Indoor Stadium on February 28th. But there will not be a live audience in attendance, the entire event will take place behind closed doors due to concerns about the coronavirus.
ONE Championship CEO / Founder Chatri Sityodtong broke the news on Facebook earlier this evening:
As previously announced Stamp Fairtex will defend her atomweight kickboxing title against Janet Todd in the main event of ONE: ‘King of the Jungle. In the co-main event Sam-A Gaiyanghadao is set to challenge Rocky Ogden for the inaugural strawweight Muay Thai title.
The card will be headlined by a kickboxing rematch that sees the atomweight champion face Janet Todd for the second time. Local favourite Amir Khan (12-6) has been booked to take on ONE Warrior Series veteran Kimihiro Eto (16-5-2) in a lightweight fight.
The card also sees the return of ‘Sexyama’. Yoshihiro Akiyama (14-7) had a disappointing debut at ONE: ‘Legendary Quest’ and will be looking for a better result when he faces Egypt’s Sherif Mohamed (9-5) in a welterweight bout.
