Panchan Rina is training in Thailand. The Japanese kickboxer has visited gyms in Bangkok and Phuket and trained with some of the top female fighters in the country.

She has shared some photos from Phuket on her Instagram and Panchan Rina appears to have been enjoying her holiday. In the latest set of pics the 29 year old posted she can be seen frolicking with elephants.

Female fighters

But Panchan Rina has not just come to Thailand for a holiday. At the start of the trip she shared footage of herself training at the Looksaikongdin Gym which is certainly not a glamorous destination but is home to some of the country’s top female fighters.

Aida Looksaikongdin is one of the gym’s main stars, she made headlines earlier this year by marrying Rodtang Jitmuangnon. Her sister, Duangdawnoi Looksaikongdin, is also one of the most successful female fighters in Thailand.

In Phuket she has shared photos of herself training alongside Allycia Rodrigues at Phuket Fight Club. The Brazilian is the reigning ONE Championship atomweight Muay Thai champion.

Traditional tourist

As well as training Panchan Rina has been participating in some traditional tourist activities. She visited Koh Phi Phi and shared a video of herself kickboxing at the famous Maya Bay.

Last year Panchan Rina suffered a serious setback when she tore her anterior cruciate ligament in a fight. She was out of action for nearly a year and had some financial difficulties.

Panchan Rina was arrested for fraud after selling some signed memorabilia which turned out to be counterfeit. The kickboxer apologized and claimed that she herself had been the victim of a scam.

Successful comeback

But last month she made a successful comeback. Panchan Rina beat ONE Championship veteran Chin Long Wang by decision and appears to be hoping to sign with the promotion herself.

She has tagged ONE Championship on several of her posts since travelling to Thailand. The promotion recently signed Japanese kickboxer Takeru but doesn’t have many female fighters from the country competing in the sport.

It seems Panchan Rina is hoping for a contract offer. Her last fight was at 110lbs so if it materializes then she could find herself fighting Allycia Rodrigues one day!
