Petr Yan is back at Tiger Muay Thai. The interim UFC bantamweight champion has not been able to conduct this last couple of training camps in Phuket due to travel restrictions.

But he is back at Tiger Muay Thai to prepare for a unification bout with Aljamain Sterling:

The two were set to face off at UFC 267 but Sterling pulled out citing a neck injury. Yan went on to score a decision win over Cory Sandhagen to capture the interim bantamweight belt.

Of course Yan would still be the undisputed 135lbs champion if he had not landed an illegal knee on  Sterling in the final minute of a fight he was on course to win comfortably. That moment of madness at UFC 259 cost him his belt.

He will have the chance to get it back when the rematch with Sterling happens. Right now there is no date set for that fight but Yan is already putting the hard work in at Tiger Muay Thai to prepare.
