Ramona Pascual has signed with the UFC! The Hong Konger steps in at very short notice to take on Josiane Nunes next weekend.

Pascual (6-2) has been living and training in Las Vegas. Her call up comes just days after fellow Hong Konger Sasha Palatnikov was cut from the promotion’s roster.

She is riding a four fight winning streak but has been competing at 145lbs or higher. With UFC Vegas 49 only a week away she has very limited time in which to prepare and cut weight.

Pascual is coming off a win over Shamir Peshewa at Invicta FC 45.  That performance appears to have convinced the UFC matchmakers to off

Nunes (8-1) was originally scheduled to face Wanan Yu. When a second opponent fell through the UFC matchmakers turned to Pascual in order to keep the Brazilian on the card.
