Another Rizin fighter will be in action at Bellator 222. Rena Kubota has been booked to face Lindsey VanZandt in a catchweight contest at Madison Square Garden on June 14th.
Bellator president Scott Coker broke the news today on Twitter:

As previously announced the rematch between Kyoji Horiguchi and Darrion Caldwell will also take place on that card. This time it will be the Bellator bantamweight belt on the line.
Kubota (8-2) made her pro debut on a Rizin card in 2015. The Shoot Boxing veteran has only ever lost to Kanna Asakura, who has beaten her twice.
VanZandt (5-1) made a successful Bellator debut in February. She has also fought for Invicta FC and holds a 2017 win over Bi Nguyen, who recently signed with ONE Championship.
