Rena Kubota will still be on the Rizin 19 card but there has been a last minute change of opponent. She will now be fighting Alexandre Alvare from Spain.

Nobuyuki Sakakibara posted on Twitter that he was forced to find a new opponent for Rena after Shawna Ram suffered a concussion during training:

Rena (8-3) will be looking to bounce back from defeat at Bellator 222. She will be odds on to do that against Alvare (0-3) who has never won an MMA fight in her life, let alone faced an opponent of the Japanese fighter’s caliber.

There will be 13 bouts on the Rizin 19 card. In the headliner reigning light heavyweight champion Jiri Prochazka takes on Fabio Maldonado in a catchweight contest.
