Ritu Phogat is back in training. She spent a few weeks in her homeland after the loss to Stamp Fairtex but has returned in Singapore in order to prepare for whatever 2022 has in store.

The Indian atomweight shared a photo on Instagram of her back at Evolve MMA:

Phogat faced off against Stamp Fairtex in the final of the atomweight Grand Prix last month. She came up short on that occasion but there are a lot of fights out there.

With Seo Hee Ham and Itsuki Hirata withdrawing from the Grand Prix due to illness or injury and Denice Zamboanga controversially eliminated there are al lot of permutations in ONE Championship’s atomweight division. The only certainty is that Angela Lee will defend her belt against Stamp.

There are several contenders waiting in the wings including Phogat and, after suffering the first defeats of her career in 2021, she will be looking to get back to winning ways this year.
