A strawweight fight has been added to the ONE: ‘ Dreams of Gold’ card. Ryuto Sawada will face Aziz Calim in Bangkok on August 16th.
Sawada (11-4-1) is coming off back to back submission wins. He finished Mohd Fouzein with a brabo choke at OWS 2 and Ismael Bandiwan with an armbar at OWS 3.
The Japanese strawweight is now based in Singapore after being selected to join the Evolve MMA fight team following a tryout. However back to back wins on ONE Warrior Series have secured him a spot on the main show.
His opponent is Calim (5-3). The Indonesian is coming off a submission win over Adi Paryanto at ONE: ‘Eternal Glory’ in January.
As previously announced Petchdam Petchyindeeacademy of Thailand will defend his flyweight kickboxing title against Ilias Ennahachi in the main event of ONE: ‘Dreams of Gold’. The show is set for the Impact Arena in Bangkok on August 16th.
The event will also feature the semi finals of the Kickboxing Grand Prix. Giorgio Petrosyan faces Jo Nattawut and Dzhabar Askerov takes on Samy Sana with a $1 million USD on the line for the tournament winner.
