Shannon Wiratchai will be fighting in Bali next week. The charismatic Thai lightweight has been booked to face Don Gil Hin in the main event of Island Fighters League 2 on October 28th.

Wiratchai (11-6-0-1) returned to the ring after an absence of nearly three years to beat Pouriya Golpour at ONE Friday Fights 3 in February. His previous bout was in 2020 when he beat Fabio Pinca by split decision.

At Island Fighters League 2 he has been matched with Dong Guk Shin (5-5). The Korean celebrates his 42nd birthday tomorrow and has spent his entire career competing with Road FC.

Stoppage losses

In the co-main event India’s Kushal Vyas (7-10) will be looking to snap his run of five straight first round stoppage losses. He has been matched with Gilbert Patrocinio (11-4) an American who is currently fighting out of Phuket.

Bali based Irish featherweight Nauris Bartoska (1-0) made his pro debut at IFL 1 earlier this year. He returns to take on Jin Guk Kim (4-6) who is also a Road FC veteran.

The experienced Alisson Barbosa (20-9) takes on Keishi Yagi (6-6) in a welterweight contest. The Brazilian also won at ONE Friday Fights 3 earlier this year.

New promotion

Bali is emerging as a major destination for MMA. Soma Fight Club opened its doors last year while a Tiger Muay Thai is currently under construction and Bali MMA has been around for some time.

The event is set for White Beach Rock and will run from the afternoon until the early morning. There will also be a handful of Muay Thai and K-1 fights on the card.
