One of the top bantamweights on the roster will be in action at Deep 95. Shooto Watanabe will be looking to build on a very impressive 2019 when he faces Shuhei Sakano.

Watanabe (20-4-6) won three fights out of three last year including wins at Deep 90 and Deep 91. He has won his last seven bouts and could be on the cusp of a title shot.

Sakano (12-4-4) hasn’t fought for Deep since 2016. But he has won four out of his last five fights and is seven years younger than Watanabe.

The other fight added to the card this week is a flyweight affair that pits Yutaro Muramoto (6-5-2) against Naoto Ayuta (8-11-1-1). The former might not have the most impressive record but he scored decision wins at Deep 88, Deep 90 and Deep 93 last year.

Deep 95 is set for the Korakuen Hall on May 6th. As previously announced Satoshi Yamasu puts his featherweight title on the line against Juntaro Ushiku in the main event.

Deep-Jewels 29 will be taking place in the same venue on the same day. That card will feature a microweight tournament final pitting Suwanan Boonsorn against Mizuki Furuse.

Last week Deep 94 took place at the Korakuen Hall. In the main event Ryuichiro Sumimura scored a decision win over Yuta Watanabe to retain his welterweight title.
