Deep-Jewels 29 is set for the Korakuen Hall on May 6th. The event will feature the final of the microweight tournament with Suwanan Boonsorn facing Mizuki Furuse.
Both fighters punched their ticket to the final with wins at Deep-Jewels 28 last month. Boonsorn (5-3) needed less than a minute to submit Emi Sato for the second time.
Meanwhile Furuse (7-6) scored a decision win over the experienced Yasuko Tamada. Both women have spent the majority of their careers competing at atomweight, but have dropped down to 97lbs for this tournament.
There are two events booked for the Korakuen Hall on May 6th. Deep 95 is also scheduled for that date and will probably take place later in the day.
The status of both events could be affected by the coronavirus situation in Japan. Pancrase 313 was recently postponed and all boxing cards in Tokyo during March have been cancelled.
