According to reliable reports he is set to face Daniel Rodriguez on August 22nd. It will be a second fight in the space of three months for Sato, who is based full time in Fort Lauderdale.
Sato (16-3) is coming off a first round stoppage win over promotional newcomer Jason Witt at UFC on ESPN 12 last month. It was the Pancrase veteran’s second win inside the octagon.
Rodriguez (12-1) is coming off back to back UFC wins. Neither fighter is currently ranked but the winner on August 22nd could crack the top 15 for the first time.
As previously announced the card will also feature a flyweight bout pitting Mizuki Inoue against Amanda Lemos. The location has yet to be confirmed but it will almost certainly be the UFC Apex Centre in Las Vegas.
