Kickboxing superstar Tenshin Nasukawa will make his return to Rizin against former K-1 fighter Koji Tanaka at Rizin 24 on September 27th.

The Japanese promotion announced the news at a press conference on Wednesday and confirmed that the event will be held at the Saitama Super Arena.

This will be the first time it has held a show there in nine months due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Rizin returned to action earlier this month following a six-month hiatus.

Holding back-to-back shows over a 48 hour period, fans were treated to a pro-wrestling style tease as Koji called out Tenshin while brandishing a Floyd Mayweather mask at Rizin 22.

Tenshin verbally agreed to the fight on the day, with the bout now set.

Rizin CEO, Nobuyuki Sakakibara confirmed that the show will begin at 16:00 local time and that two hours of the event will be aired on Fuji TV.

Fans will also be offered the full card via Pay-Per-View via the crowdfunding page for for 5000 yen in advance or 5500 yen on the day.

With only one fight in place, the Rizin boss said that he’s also looking at booking both Kai Asakura and Mikuru Asakura as well as Kanna Asakura and Ayaka Hamasaki.
