The bout is set for Jacksonville on April 9th (local time) so Jung will be spending nearly two months in the US. He credits Fight Ready coach Eddie Cha with helping him to turn his career around.
The Korean Zombie met Cha after his last second defeat to Yair Rodriguez at UFC Fight Night 139. The two men have been working together ever since and the results have been good, with Jung winning three out of his last four fights.
He was handed the title shot when Max Holloway withdrew from the UFC 273 fight with an injury. Confusingly the Hawaiian has announced he is now available and ready to step in if either Jung or Volkanovski gets injured.
Weili Zhang also used Fight Ready as a base for her fights in the US. The Korean Zombie will be hoping to make it second time lucky after challenging unsuccessfully for the UFC featherweight title in 2013.
