For Victor Henry the road to the UFC has been long and winding. It has taken in stints with Deep, Pancrase and Rizin but he will finally make his octagon debut this month.

The 34 year old will fight at UFC Vegas 45. He replaces Trevin Jones and will fight Raoni Barcelos at the APEX Centre on December 18th.

Henry (21-5) won the Deep bantamweight title and challenged unsuccessfully for the Pancrase 135lbs belt. He won two fights out of two for Rizin and beat the likes of Masanori Kanehara, Yuki Motoya, Takafumi Otsuka, Alan Yamaniha Masakatsu Ueda and Hideo Tokoro during his stint in Japan.

Barcelos (16-2) has won five fights out of six for the UFC with his only loss coming by way of majority decision. The Brazilian is unranked but the bout still represents a baptism of fire for the newcomer.

UFC Vegas 45 will be headlined by a heavyweight fight. Derrick Lewis (25-8-0-1) will fight Chris Daukaus (12-3). The former is ranked #3 while the latter is #7 meaning this could potentially be a title eliminator.
