It isn’t just professional fighters who are heading to Phuket to train Muay Thai. Several celebrities have also visited the island this year and reality TV star Kaz Crossley just shared some footage from her most recent trip.

Kaz is half Thai and is best known for having appeared on the reality TV series Love Island. She features regularly in the tabloid press in England.

But when she wants to let off steam the half Thai beauty likes nothing better than to go and work out with a Muay Thai trainer. She shared a video of herself hitting pads at Bang Tao Muay Thai:

Regular visitor

Earlier this year British rapper Central Cee visited AKA Thailand on a training trip. It isn’t clear if he had any prior experience of Muay Thai before the trip.

But Kaz is a regular visitor to Thailand and has travelled as far afield as Costa Rica and Mexico to train Muay Thai. On her last trip to Phuket she was accompanied by around 30 friends from the UK.

Kaz has launched a company called Combat Collective with the stated mission of ’empowering women to be strong, fearless and impactful through combat sports’. The trips to Thailand are proving popular and another one is booked for November.

Online profile

In the video Kaz shared earlier today she is working out with Nattawat Johphromma, better known as Ajarn Wat. He has worked with the likes of Weili Zhang and Sam-A Gaiyanghadao and is something of a social media star in his own right with 111,000 followers.

He cannot compete with Kaz in that respect. The model and social media influencer has an impressive 1.1 million followers and has used her platform to help raise money for the Wor Watthana Camp in northern Thailand.

Muay Thai has gained mainstream recognition and is no longer just for serious fighters. People of all walks of life are travelling to Thailand to study the sport, from rappers to reality TV stars.
