A bantamweight bout has been added to the Deep 100 card. It pits Yuki Motoya against Shoji Maruyama and represents a fast turnaround for the former who was in action at Rizin 26 last week.

Motoya (26-9-0-1) was submitted in the opening round by Naoki Inoue on New Year’s Eve. He has held Deep titles at both 125lbs and 135lbs and has made regular appearances on Rizin cards in recent years.

Maruyama (18-13-1) is also coming off a loss on a Rizin card, albeit not as recent. The former lightweight King of Pancrase was stopped by Kai Asakura at Rizin 24.

There will be at least two more bantamweight fights on the card. Muay Thai star Shunsuke Miyabi makes his MMA debut against Hiroya (4-6-1) while Kosuke Terashima (16-16-5) faces Shuhei Higashi (12-5-1.)

Also added to the card this week was an openweight bout pitting Hideki Sekine (8-5) against Seigo Mizuguchi (14-18). The event is set for TDC Hall and will serve as a celebration of the promotion’s 20th anniversary.

The promotion’s inaugural show took place in 2001 with Royler Gracie facing Takehiro Murahama in the main event. Headlining this historic card is a lightweight bout between Satoka Kitaoka and Juri Ohara.

The event will take place in front of a limited live audience although restrictions could get tighter if the Covid-19 situation in Japan continues to deteriorate.
