John Wayne Parr will be on the Rizin 18 card. The Australian Muay Thai legend has been matched with Danilo Zanolini in one of three kickboxing bouts confirmed for Nagoya on August 18th.

As usual the promotion took to Twitter to confirm the matchup:

The catchweight contest is set for 75kgs and sees Parr make his promotional debut. He is currently contracted to Bellator and is a multiple time world champion who has been in with the likes of Buakaw Por Pramuk, Yodsaenklai Fairtex and Jean-Charles Skarbowsky.

His opponent hails from Brazil but owns a chain of kickboxing academies in Japan. Zanolini has won welterweight titles with Rise and ISKA but does not have anything like as impressive a resume as his 43 year old opponent.

The other two kickboxing bouts on the Rizin 18 card pit Shota Takiya against Kazuki Osaki and Ryuji Horio against Uchu Sakurai in catchweight contests. The event is set for the Dolphins Arena, the home of the Nagoya Diamond Dolphins.

Kyoji Horiguchi will headline the card. The reigning Rizin and Bellator bantamweight champion is coming off a decision win over Darrion Caldwell at Bellator 222 and his opponent is set to be announced next week.
