ONE: ‘Dangal’ is set for the Singapore Indoor Stadium on May 15th. Three more fights were added to the card today including a catchweight contest pitting Ayaka Miura against Rayane Bastos.
The fight is set for 58.25kgs, slightly over the strawweight limit. Bastos (4-0-1) is coming off a very impressive submission win over Sovannahry Em at ONE: ‘Mark of Greatness’ in 2019.
Miura (10-3) saw her six fight winning streak snapped by Tiffany Teo at ONE: ‘King of the Jungle’. She is currently #4 in the strawweight rankings.
Another catchweight contest added to the card pits Anthony Do (7-4) against Liang Hui (5-6-1). In bantamweight Muay Thai action Tawanchai PKSaenchaigym has been matched with Sean Clancy.
As previously announced Brandon Vera will make the third defence of his heavyweight title at ONE: ‘Dangal’ on May 15th. The Fil-Am fighter will face fellow UFC veteran Arjan Bhullar at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
Vera suffered the first defeat of his post UFC career at ONE: ‘Century’ last October. He was stopped by Aung La Nsang in the second round of their light heavyweight title fight.
However he remains the heavyweight champion. Vera won the belt by beating Paul Cheng in 2015 and has successfully defended it against both Mauro Cerilli and Hideki Sekine.
Bhullar was also in action at ONE: ‘Century’. He faced former title challenger Cerilli on his promotional debut and won the fight by unanimous decision, earning an immediate title shot.
The event will also feature an atomweight bout pitting Ritu Phogat (4-0) against Bi Nguyen (5-6). In the flyweight division Gary Mangat (15-3) has been matched with Roshan Mainam (6-2).
