Bae Myung Ho faces Murad Ramazanov at ONE: ‘King of the Jungle’
ONE: ‘King of the Jungle’ might be taking place behind closed doors due to concerns about the coronavirus. But a fight between two top welterweight prospects was added to the card this week with Bae Myung Ho taking on Murad Ramazanov.
During his peak Myung Ho (17-6-1) was one of the most sought after properties in Asian MMA. The 33 year old’s career was interrupted by mandatory military service in South Korea but he has won nine out of his last 11 fights.
Meanwhile Ramazanov (8-0) is an undefeated prospect who will be looking to establish himself as an immediate contender for the welterweight title. The Russian has fought intermittently since making his debut in 2014 but won three fights out of three last year.
As previously announced Stamp Fairtex will defend her atomweight kickboxing title against Janet Todd in the main event of ONE: ‘King of the Jungle. In the co-main event Sam-A Gaiyanghadao is set to challenge Rocky Ogden for the inaugural strawweight Muay Thai title.
In the atomweight division two top contenders collide. Japan’s Mei Yamaguchi (21-11-1) will be looking for her fifth straight win when she faces Denice Zamboanga (6-0). The card will be headlined by a kickboxing rematch between atomweight champion Stamp Fairtex and Janet Todd.
The card also sees the return of ‘Sexyama’. Yoshihiro Akiyama (14-7) had a disappointing debut at ONE: ‘Legendary Quest’ and will be looking for a better result when he faces Egypt’s Sherif Mohamed (9-5) in a welterweight bout.
