K-1 and Pride veteran Choi Hong-Man is set to make his second appearance in Angel’s Fight Championship the June.
The 38-year-old South Korean will take on slick Hungarian striker David Mihajlov at AFC 12: ‘Hero Of The Belt’ in an openweight kickboxing bout in Seoul on June 10th.
Choi was last seen in competition at Mas Fight late last year in Macao. He took on Yi Long and was oddly knocked out with a spinning back kick to the groin region.
As a result, he was pulled from his scheduled bout at AFC 9 on December 17th and spent his time recovering from his injury. He returns to face Mihajlov at the KBS Arena Hall.
Unlike many of his former opponents, Mihajlov is of similar stature to Choi standing at 195cms tall and weighing around 110kg. He is the current WKN champion in his homeland and holds a record of 15-5 with nine knockouts.
Before Choi steps back into the AFC cage, he will fly over to Japan to face off against Ryo Kawamura at Ganryujima 2019 in Maihama on May 11. This clash will be a custom rules bout played out on a raised open mat.
In the coming days AFC will announce the matchups for three title fights which will take place on June 10th..
