ONE Warrior Series 8 has a new main event. De’von Morris faces Emmanuel Onyedikachi in a welterweight rematch at Bellesalle Shibuya Garden on October 5th.
The two welterweights first fought at ONE Warrior Series 4. It was Morris (5-4) who emerged victorious, knocking out the Nigerian in the second round.
Onyedikachi (3-1) is based in Cambodia and has won three fights out of four for ONE Warrior Series. The loss to Morris was the first of his professional career.
Morris is riding a four fight winning streak that includes three victories for Rich Franklin’s spin off series. His most recent win came at the expense of Javed Mulla who he submitted in the first round at OWS 6.
As previously announced the co-main event pits Ryoji Kudo against Jerry Olsim in a featherweight bout. The former is a Shooto veteran while the latter has won four fights out of four for OWS.
This event will take place just eight days before ONE: ‘Century’. The two part event is set for Ryogoku Kokugikan on a October 13th and features the likes of Eddie Alvarez, Demetrious Johnson, Angela Lee and Aung La Nsang as well as the conclusion of three tournaments.
