The featherweight kickboxing Grand Prix semi finals are set for ONE: ‘Only the Brave’ on January 28th. The penultimate round of the tournament takes place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
Sittichai Sitsongpeenong takes on Davit Kiria in one semi final. The winner will face off against either Marat Grigorian or Chingiz Allazov who meet in the other semi final
As previously announced the interim heavyweight title will be on the line in the main event with Anatoly Malykhin set to face Kirill Grishenko for the strap. Jarred Brooksis set to face Hiroba Minowa at in a strawweight fight.
Meanwhile Kim Jae Woong is set to take on Tang Kai in a match that also has the makings of a title eliminator. The former is ranked #1 while the latter is #4 at featherweight.
Woong (12-4) is coming off the biggest win of his career. He knocked out Martin Nguyen in the opening round at ONE: ‘Revolution’ in September.
Kai (13-2) has won five fights out of five for ONE Championship and is on an eight fight winning streak. But this will be the first time that the Chinese fighter has been matched with a ranked opponent.
In the lightweight division Lipeng Zhang (31-11-2) takes on Ruslan Emilbek (13-2). At flyweight Tatsumitsu Wada (23-11-2) faces Shuo Wang (13-5).
