Rizin 31 is set for Yokohama on October 24th. The event will feature a super atomweight fight between Kanna Asakura and Saori Oshima.
Asakura (18-5) won the Rizin super atomweight tournament in 2017 and has challenged for the belt twice, coming up short on both occasions. She dropped a split decision to Ayaka Hamasaki in her most recent title tilt.
Oshima (6-2) makes her Rizin debut at the PIA Arena. At Deep-Jewels 33 she won the atomweight Grand Prix and is riding a three fight winning streak.
The event will also feature two flyweight fights, a division Rizin has traditionally shown little interest in. Yusaku Nakamura (16-8-1) faces Yuki Ito (8-2) while Seiichiro Ito (13-4-2) takes on Kunta Hashimoto.
In the bantamweight division Masanori Kanehara (27-14-5) takes on Takahiro Ashida (24-10-2). At featherweight Daisuke Nakamura (30-20-1) faces Suguru Nii (12-10).
