Kim Jae Woong is set to take on Tang Kai in a match that has all the makings of a title eliminator. The former is ranked #1 while the latter is #4.
Woong (12-4) is coming off the biggest win of his career. He knocked out Martin Nguyen in the opening round at ONE: ‘Revolution’ in September.
Kai (13-2) has won five fights out of five for ONE Championship and is on an eight fight winning streak. But this will be the first time that the Chinese fighter has been matched with a ranked opponent.
In bantamweight Muay Thai action Saemapetch Fairtex takes on Tawanchai PKSaenchaigym. Both will be looking to bounce back from recent defeats.
As previously announced the first ONE Championship card of 2022 will be headlined by a light heavyweight kickboxing title fight. Roman Kryklia will defend his belt against Murat Aygun.
It is a fight that was originally booked for ONE: ‘Big Bang’ last year. Kryklia is on a ten fight winning streak and will be defending his belt for the second time.
