For the first time in history ONE Warrior Series is holding an event outside of Singapore. On October 5th there will be a 15 fight card in Tokyo.
ONE Warrior Series 8 is headlined by a featherweight bout between Ryoji Kudo and Jerry Olsim. The former is a Shooto veteran while the latter has won four fights out of four for OWS.
Kudo (5-1-1) burst onto the scene by winning an amateur tournament with Shooto in 2017. The 26 year old Tribe Tokyo representative has been in with some experienced opposition and three of his five wins have come inside the distance.
Olsim (6-0) has emerged as one of the stars of the ONE Warrior Series. He fought on OWS 1, OWS 3, OWS 5 and is coming off a decision win over Myung Gu Kim at OWS 6.
This event will take place just eight days before ONE: ‘Century’. The two part event is set for Ryogoku Kokugikan on a October 13th and features the likes of Eddie Alvarez, Demetrious Johnson, Angela Lee and Aung La Nsang as well as the conclusion of three tournaments.
It will be a busy week for Team Lakay. Olsim will be representing the Baguio camp at OWS 8 and Lito Adiwang, Kevin Belingon and Honorio Banario will all be in action at ONE: ‘Century’.
