Satoru Kitaoka is launching a new MMA promotion and will be competing on the inaugural card. Ismos 1 is set for Pancraseism in Yokohama on July 31st and will take place behind closed doors.

There are currently four fights on the card which will take place in Kitaoka’s gym without a live audience. There will be no judges either, a bout which goes the distance will automatically be declared a draw.

In the main event Kitaoka (42-20-9) faces Sho Kogane (17-3-1) in a lightweight bout. Kitaoka recently turned 40 and is coming off back to back losses at Rizin 15 and Rizin 17.

Kitaoka is a former Deep lightweight champion. He made his pro debut 20 years ago and has been in with the likes of Carlos Condit, Paul Daley, Shinya Aoki, Takanori Gomi, Jorge Masvidal and Tatsuya Kawajiri.

Kogane is the reigning Zst lightweight champion. He’s won eight out of his last nine fights but has never been in with an opponent of Kitaoka’s calibre or experience.

The co-main event features another veteran. Welterweight Yuki Kondo (60-36-9) will be looking to rebound from his decision defeat at Pancrase 312 in February when he faces Binta Mochi (6-7-3), who is 13 years his junior.

The other two fights on the card pit Youichi Ooi (2-1) against debutant Ryo Yazawa in a bantamweight bout and Tatsuya Tomozane (10-4) against newcomer Yuto Kimura in a catchweight contest which is set for 73kgs. All the fights on the card are scheduled for three rounds of five minutes each.
