One of the most popular Muay Thai fighters in Thailand has signed with ONE Championship and will make his debut next month. Seksan Or Kwanmuang is the latest in a long line of stars from the sport to put pen to paper on a deal with the promotion.
Seksan looks set to headline ONE Lumpinee 1. The event is set for Bangkok on January 20th and he will be taking on Australia’s Tyson Harrison who also makes his promotional debut.
Seksan is a two time Rajadamnern lightweight champion and was the 2015 Sports Authority of Thailand ‘fighter of the year’. The 33 year old fought Rodtang twice in 2019 and the rematch at Rajadamnern earned ‘fight of the year’ honours.

Tough matchup
While this looks like a very tough matchup for Harrison he will be encouraged by Seksan’s recent results. The 33 year old only has four wins from his last 15 fights and the Australian will be hoping to pull off the upset.
At the press conference a broadcast deal with Channel 7 was also announced as well as a partnership between ONE Championship and Tero Entertainment. Seksan will headline the first of the weekly cards to be shown by the television station on Friday nights.
Chatri Sityodtong hailed the significance of the deal,
“It’s an honor to announce that Channel 7, Thailand’s largest broadcaster, and Tero Entertainment will be the new home for live broadcasts of ONE Championship in Thailand beginning in 2023. This collaboration will allow Thai fans to watch the world’s best martial arts action live in primetime, including the historic ONE Lumpinee events and our monthly ONE Fight Night cards. Muay Thai has been an integral part of my life, and I’m proud to share the beauty and skill of the sport to the world through ONE.”
The bantamweight title fight between champion Nong-O Gaiyanghadao and challenger Alaverdi Ramazanov has been pushed back to the second event. It will now headline ONE Lumpinee 2 on January 27th.
