Road to ONE 3 is set for Tokyo on September 10th according to Bout Review. There will be some big names on the card which takes place at Shibuya O-East.

In the main event two time ONE Championship lightweight king Shinya Aoki has been matched with Kimihiro Eto. The former signed for the promotion in 2012 and is arguably the face of Asian MMA.

Aoki lost his title last year when he was stopped in the opening round by Christian Lee in a stunning upset. But he bounced back to beat former featherweight champion Honorio Banario at ONE: ‘Century’ Part II.

While Aoki (44-9-0-1) is one of the most recognizable stars in the region Eto (17-5-2)  made his name with ONE Warrior Series. The 31 year old is coming off a submission win over Amir Khan at ONE: ‘King of the Jungle’.

Aoki is six years the senior of Eto. The former ONE, Dream, Shooto and WAMMA champion will be a strong favourite against an opponent who has never won a title.

The co-main event features two former ONE strawweight champions. Yoshitaka Naito (15-3) is coming off back to back decision wins while Yosuke Saruta (20-9-3) also won his last fight.

Naito is currently ranked #2 while Saruta is #1. Both men are 1-1 in fights against the current strawweight champion Joshua Pacio and the winner will be in pole position for a trilogy title bout.

The event will be available to view online in regions all over the world and will be broadcast by Abema TV in Japan.
