Stamp Fairtex was recently accused of being ‘a dancer not a fighter’. It is a role the Thai fighter seems to revel in and it doesn’t sound like she plans to tone down her entrance for ONE Fight Night 10.
Stamp, who always has a K-Pop dance routine prepared for her walkout, is facing Alyse Anderson in Colorado on May 5th. It will be ONE Championship’s US debut and it sounds like the 25 year old has something special in store.
She told fans she would be ‘dancing in the US’ on May 5th:

Late pullout
While Stamp clearly puts a lot of time into rehearsing her entrances the Thai fighter has been performing just as well inside the cage. In her last fight she beat Supergirl Jaroonsakgym by split decision.
Stamp moved up to strawweight for that fight after original opponent Anissa Meksen pulled out without telling anyone. She was far smaller than Supergirl but picked up a hard fought, albeit contentious, decision win and earned a $50,000 USD performance bonus.
Meksen was the opponent who described Stamp as being ‘a dancer not a fighter’. That looked to be a real rivalry to keep an eye on with the two atomweights scheduled to face of twice in the space of two months.

Opportunity gone
But by failing to turn up for their mixed rules fight at ONE Fight Night 6 without offering a coherent explanation Meksen appears to have lost the chance to fight Stamp. The two had been set to face off for the strawweight kickboxing title in February.
But when Stamp made it clear she had no interest in fighting Meksen the promotion wasted no time in offering her another opponent under a different ruleset. She will be returning to MMA to take on Alyse Anderson in Colorado.
Meanwhile Meksen is without an opponent and the opportunity seems to have passed her by. With Stamp getting online praise from K-pop star Jessica Ho for her latest routine she seems to be succeeding as both a dancer and a fighter!
