Supergirl Jaroonsakgym will be back in action at ONE Fight Night 13. The teenager will be fighting at Lumpinee Stadium for the first time on August 4th.
Her trainer also happens to be her father and he seems very keen to ensure she doesn’t get stopped by body shots. Supergirl has dropped down a division in order to take on Cristina Morales.
She will be making her atomweight debut and her father seems very keen to make sure she isn’t soft around the midriff. Supergirl will be one of the tallest fighters in the division but that could make her body a target:

Last minute
Supergirl took on Stamp Fairtex in a strawweight kickboxing contest last time out. That match was put together at the very last minute after Anissa Meksen didn’t show up to the ONE Fight Night 6 weigh ins.
Supergirl has a significant height advantage against an opponent who always competes at atomweight. Stamp won by split decision but both fighters walked away with $50,000 USD bonuses.
The decision was controversial but both fighters are friends. Initially only the winner was awarded a bonus but Stamp was the first person to congratulate Supergirl when Chatri Sityodtong announced at ONE Friday Fights 1 that she would be getting a bonus too.

New weight
Supergirl is 19 and at an age where fighters would usually move up in weight, not down. She weighed just 3lbs over the atomweight limit when she made her ONE Championship debut in 2020.
The atomweight landscape is certainly more attractive for kickboxers. The title is currently held by Janet Todd who has proved she can switch seamlessly between the two codes.
This will be Supergirl’s second kickboxing fight, having started her ONE Championship career competing in Muay Thai. A win here could potentially put her in pole position for a title fight with Todd.
Allycia Rodrigues, who holds the atomweight Muay Thai title and is coming off a win over Todd, has also expressed an interest in kickboxing. If Supergirl can make the weight there are a lot of opponents out there for her.
Whatever happens when she faces Morales on August 4th the 19 year old will clearly be prepared for whatever the Spaniard throws at her body. Her dad is making sure of that!
